My Name’s Macbeth
RADA, Feature Concept
Story: Laura Dorn
Adapted from Shakespeare by: Laura Dorn & Jonathan Parr
Directed by: Laura Dorn
Macbeth is back from the war. But it has followed him home - at least mentally. Spiralling ever downward, his wife attempts to save him from himself, not realising that his far gone mind has lost its ability to discern her from his horrors.
Born as a stage production, it soon became clear that this story was meant to be told as a feature film. Originally meant to be filming in 2020, production on My Name’s Macbeth was halted during the pandemic. Prior to that, the script was shortlisted to be represented at the Marché du film in Cannes (2020), was selected for over 30 festivals and competitions and won 10 screenwriting awards.
Experimentorium are currently seeking funding for this film.
